Icon is Cancelled

Related Cos. executives blamed the high cost of construction for the decision to cancel Icon. They said legal disputes with a local landowner delayed the project while construction costs skyrocketed.

Some feel that Related will announce a new, higher priced project on the site.

 Icon Las Vegas (archived)

Icon was proposed to have twin towers that will rise over 500 feet into the Las Vegas Skyline with all units facing towards the south Strip. The rendering (left top) shows the front of the buildings. Second bedrooms, dens, and elevator lobbies have windows with a north view (rendering left center)

Icon was proposed to have a more unique modern all glass design which would have set it apart from the more traditional high-rise condos.

One bedroom condominiums were estimated to be priced from the mid $400,000's  going up to $1,000,000 for a 3 bedroom unit on the 48th floor.
